Two Upcoming Events: Elections and Lecture

Hello everyone!

There are two upcoming Math Club events that might be of interest to
the general math student population. Please read below for details.
(Note below that the location for the election is NOT in Padelford!)

1. Pizza + Lecture
Date: Tuesday, May 27th
Time: 3 - 4 pm
Location: Padelford C-36

Extended Sato-Tate Conjecture ==> GRH for Elliptic Curves

Chris Swierczewski will be presenting some background information and
examples related to his senior thesis. Full Abstract is coming soon
to the math club website (on the calendar).

2. Elections and Movie Night (with Chinese Food)
Date: Friday, May 30th
Time: 5 - 8 pm
Location: CMU B006 (right next to the math study center in the
communications building)

The Math Club wants you! We need five officers for next year to keep
our RSO status. Officer positions are available to all UW
undergrads. The positions to be filled are:
* President
* Vice President
* Secretary
* Treasurer
* Webmaster
We will have an informal election over Chinese Food and the movie Pi.
If you are interested in a position but unable to make it, please send
an email to math...@math.washington.edu with some details about
yourself and the position you feel you're suited for.
