Haiti Fall Kickoff
Monday September 14th
Room 1045 Engineering Centers Building (ECB)
6:00 pm

Hello members new and old,

As stated above, we will be having our kickoff meeting tonight. If you cannot make it but are still interested in working with this group, then don't fret! Talk to either of the Haiti Group Project Managers Kyle Ankenbauer or Tyler Lark to work something out.

Here is a summarized adjenda of tonight's meeting:
  • Explanation of the background of project
  • Brief history of EWB experience in the community
  • A detailed explanation of our projects/subgroups this semester:
    1. Pipe crossing
    2. Roof design/materials testing
    3. Hydro electrical design with group specialist John Lee
  • Subgroup selection and organization
The meeting should be about an hour. Hope to see you all there!

Au revoir!

Kyle Ankenbauer

Tyler Lark

P.S.

In the meantime, feel free to peruse these links:

This is the EWB-Madison student chapter website, which most of you have probably already been to.

Here you will find the photo-documentation of the construction of the bridge EWB-Boulder built in Bayonnais. These pictures provide a pretty good representation of how our engineering work comes to fruition via Haitian construction methods.

OFCB is the organization that hosts us in Haiti. What you will find here is a site created to capture the interest of potential donors in christian churches in america.
