Hello Haiti group!

As you all know, much has happened in Haiti since we have last met, and in response we have a lot planned for this coming semester!  The EWB-UW kick-off is tomorrow, and our Haiti Project semester launch will this coming Monday.  Here's the details on these and all the other upcoming events:

EWB-UW kickoff.  Tomorrow (thurs) night, at 7pm in the TONG auditorium (1003 ECB).  I really hope to see everybody there, and this semester we're striving to have more participation, better events, and become more unified as a UW chapter.  This is your chance to get out and meet some of the other amazing EWBers! (and get FREE pizza!!).

Haiti Project Kick-off.  This Monday, Feb 1st, at 6pm in 3127 Mechanical Engineering.  We have tons of information to share and are eager to get started working on Haiti projects again.  We'll start with a brief update from the travel team, and then we'll dive right into the effects of the earthquake on our community and the resulting immediate plans of our project for this semester and the years to come.

Weekly haiti meetings.  Tuesday nights at 6pm, starting Feb. 9th.  This semester, we'll be switching formats and having one weekly large-group meeting for everyone, and the sub-groups will be able to have break-out sessions within that time.  Don't worry if you won't be available during the regular meetings, as there will still be plenty of ways to stay active this semester!  We'll be having additional subgroup meetings as needed (including possible cross-program sessions), prototype/project building days on the weekends, fun social events throughout the week, and plently of other opportunities to stay involved.

Everyone's really looking forward to another great semester, and we have plans to make this our most productive (and fun) one to date.  Excited to see you all again starting tomorrow night!

Hey Everybody,

It was great seeing all of the new members and returning faces that came to the UW kickoff meeting tonight!  We hope to see all of you again as well as those of you who couldn't make it out tonight on Monday at our Haiti project kick-off (6pm, room 3127 Mech. Eng).  We've got a lot of great things planned for the semester and are eager to hit the ground running!  Until then, feel free to pass on our kick-off information to any of your friends, classmates, or colleagues who may want to join, and if you know anybody who'd like to be added the email list, just let us know.

If you have any questions (how to get involved, new ideas to suggest, anything!) feel free to send Kyle or myself an email.

Have a good weekend, and we'll see you all on Monday!
