There is no UW crypto seminar today. There is a seminar next week:
TITLE: An introduction to pairing-based cryptography
SPEAKER: Dustin Moody (University of Washington)
DATE: November 7, 2007; 4:40 - 5:30pm in Communications B027
ABSTRACT:
Elliptic curves have been widely used to implement a variety of
cryptosystems. Recently, elliptic curves with a bilinear pairing have
been much studied. There are several interesting cryptologic
applications of elliptic curves with a pairing. I'll give several
examples, as well as a basic introduction to elliptic curves and
bilinear pairings.
