Join us on Saturday, November 1st for our traditional end-of-season Long Row, followed by a potluck brunch! Rain date is Sunday, November 2nd. We will make a decision as early as we can if the weather looks bad for Saturday, stay tuned!
When to Row: Start any time, just plan to be off the water and ready for brunch around 10:30 AM. Please do not launch before 7.15am, sunrise is not until 7.24am and safety is our top priority.
Distance: Row any distance you like! Many people choose the 15-mile route up to the Lyme Bridge and back, but that is not required.
Boats: We encourage you to join your fellow rowers in a sweep or sculling boat. If you plan on using a UVRF sculling boat, please make sure to sign it out by Sunday at 6:00 PM. This will allow us to offer any remaining boats to our guests. If you would like a sweep boat please email Chuck at executive.d...@gmail.com
Line-ups: We are not setting any formal line-ups. If you would like help finding people to row with, please ask your coach.
Safety: Safety launches will be out on the water (a big thank you to Chuck and Christine!)
Juniors: Unfortunately, junior rowers are not able to join us for this event this year.
Time: Approximately 10:30 AM. Basically as soon as the rowing ends!
Location: Hosted once again at my (Rowan) house - if you need directions let me know!
What to bring: we will have coffee, please feel free to bring anything to share - we will have plates, cutlery, cups, etc
Parking: Please note that parking is tight at Rowan's house. It is best to park in the town lot on the corner of Maple and School and walk over.
We hope you will join us for a great final row and some good food!
