Hello Rowers:

If you are among the many rowers who XC ski in the off-season to keep fit, read on.  Otherwise, feel free to bail out now.

The poor snow conditions this winter have shown us yet again how precarious local skiing can be.  As you may have heard, a project is now underway to make major improvements to XC skiing in Hanover with more accessible trails, snowmaking, lighting, better parking, and an enclosed structure at the base. Details are at www.OakHillOutdoorCenter.org. The local community will be assuming operational management from Dartmouth upon completion of the project. The capital campaign to make this project a reality has made considerable progress but is still $250,000 short of its initial goal.

If you are interested in helping to make this long-standing dream a reality, tax deductible contributions can be made directly on the website or mailed to Friends of Oak Hill; PO Box 441; Hanover, NH 03755. Questions can be sent to in...@OakHillOutdoorCenter.org.

Thank you!
