Hello UVRF!
It's been a long winter and it will be some many weeks before we get on the water, but the process has begun, which is exciting!
Part 1. Today Chuck, Peter, Nancy and I moved the trailers out of the Friends of Hanover Crew Boathouse, loaded all the singles and doubles back up on the top of the trailer (you can't back the trailers in with boats on the top rack), cleaned up the bays for the HHS team to erg in, and moved the trailers to the top parking lot at Kendal.
The river is open and moving quickly, we are ignoring the snow report for tomorrow, and looking forward to getting back on the water!
Part 2. will take place on Friday (3/27) when the juniors finish the move out of the HHS boathouse. We'll unload the trailers (and may have to put the boats on the ground at the upper parking area if we still can't walk them down the hill), then head back to the boathouse for about 3 more trailer loads full of boats, oars, riggers, slings and the rest of our equipment.
Part 3. TBD - we move the boats down from the upper parking lot at Kendal and rig.
