Managing duplicates on your RegattaCentral account

Hello UVRF, and specifically, RegattaCentral (RC) account holders,

You may have noticed that when you register for any service on RC, you are presented with a Participant list. This is a dropdown menu. Be sure to expand the dropdown and make a selection UNLESS you are adding a brand new participant (perhaps you or a family member is new to UVRF). If you are truly adding a New Participant, use the blue hyperlink to the right of the dropdown.

The problem is that RC will allow you to create multiple participants by the same name (can't explain it). See the picture below where there are 2 entries for me (along with my donkey Gus, who is my testing supervisor).

Some services require membership or another service as a prerequisite. If you use 1 version of yourself to sign up for membership and chose another version of yourself to sign up for a program, you may receive an alert that says you MUST BE A MEMBER FIRST.  This is because you may have selected the version of you not associated with the membership that you signed up for in a prior registration!

First, try using the "other" duplicate participant version of you and see if it works. 
Second, please please please email sup...@regattacentral.com to ask them to merge the duplicate participants on your list to a single name, or to a list of unique participant names if you register for yourself and others in your family from a single account.
