GIS Technician
Environmental Data Resources, Inc (EDR) is seeking a qualified candidate
to fill the position of GIS Technician in our Milford, Connecticut
office. EDR is the nation's leading provider of environmental

The GIS Technician will be responsible for maintaining the GIS products
and data. Primary duties include:
import and export data using ArcMap and ArcInfo; GIS data manipulation
and maintenance; perform quality control activities; design and deploy
programs, procedures, and system enhancements; and perform spatial
analysis for special projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work

Candidate should possess BS or BA degree in Geography, Computer Science,
Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering or an equivalent
combination of education and experience. Experience with ESRI GIS
products preferred, especially ArcMap. Other preferred skills --
Experience with spatial analysis methodologies and techniques;
Knowledge of ESRI ArcInfo, AML, Arc Objects, Map Objects; Knowledge of
VB programming; Experience with UNIX and NT workstations; Knowledge of
MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and
electronic mail.
