Can Senator Jeffords win reelection the next time he runs, or does the
electorate in Vermont feel cheated by his crossing the aisle?
Thanks so much in advance ...
Ken
He was just re-elected in 2000 I think, so 2006 is re-election time. I'm
sure his patriotic acts will secure him his seat in 2006

The point is moot anyway as the Republicans stand to lose 2-5 Senate seats
this year.

I have heard it is 2004 when the turncoat has to face his constituents again.

Jeffords is just the latest to go. The GOP has been losing
talent for years because of it's hard right line. Both parties
have had some of their best men get tired of raising money
(which some said took up half their time.)
I hear from a right winger in his state that Jefford's
wasn't planning to run again. That may be just his opinion.
(He has the hard-right notion that the whole world is right wing too.)
