2004 Purchasing Vendor Show

Today is the day.  Come over and visit!

 

Don't let the cold weather keep you from attending the 3rd Annual Purchasing Contracted Vendor Show.  The following heated shuttles will be available:

 

Thrifty Car Rental will be running 2-12 passenger vans for our Contracted Vendor Show on Thursday,

January 15, 2004.  The vans will be clearly marked Thrifty and will have white signs saying "Vendor Show Shuttle".  The vans will start running at 10 AM.

 

One van will stop at the Rowell/Given/HSRF entrance (Carrigan Dr.), going on to the Bailey/Howe loading dock, back up to the shuttle stop at the Ag. visitor parking lot (near Purchasing) and then over to Patrick Gym.

 

The second van will go down Main St. and take a right on So. Prospect, go into the Waterman parking lot at the North entrance (parking lot entrance), go to Votey parking lot, go to the Trinity campus entrance at the traffic light and back down So. Prospect to Redstone and then over to Patrick Gym.

 

If you see the Thrifty vans, please flag them down for a ride.

 

Transportation & Parking Services will also be running their On-Campus shuttle.  This shuttle runs down Main St. on to University Place stopping at Royall Tyler Theatre, Billings Student Ctr., Cook, Bailey Howe Library, Rowell/Health Science Research Facility, Aiken parking lot. They cross Main St. stopping behind Living & Learning, Patrick Gym, going on to Coolidge Hall, Davis Hall and back around.  This shuttle runs every 20 minutes.

All UVM parking rules & regulations will be in effect the day of the show.

 

 

GRAND PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENT:

 

(Must attend the Vendor Show to be eligible for grand prize)

 

Round trip airfare for 2 people to New Orleans, Louisiana, donated by Boise Office Solutions

 

3 nights lodging for 2 people at the Sheraton in New Orleans, donated by the Sheraton Burlington Conference Center  (may have blackout dates)

 

$500 spending money, donated by Fisher Scientific

 

Canon ZR50 DV digital video recorder donated by IKON 

 

 

UVM Purchasing Department will host their 3rd Annual Contracted Vendor Show on Thursday,

January 15, 2004 from 10 AM to 2 PM in Patrick Gym Indoor Tennis Facility.

 

Come and visit over 45 of our contracted vendors.  There will be vendors for Lodging, Furniture, Office Supplies, Scientific Products, Temporary Services, Copiers, Technology, Car Rentals, Record Storage, Snack Vending, Travel Center, Sodexho as well as UVM Microcomputer Depot, Print & Mail Center, University Bookstore, Environmental Safety Facility, Police Services.  Come and meet the Purchasing Staff as well as Representatives from the above vendors.

 

We will have refreshments, free samples and prizes.
