Job Title: Design Engineer – Solid Works

Job Code : HC/JC/7471/14/ HC/JC/7470/14/ HC/JC/7177/14

Preferred: Oil &Gas/Special Propose Machines

Domain Skills:

·         3+ years of experience in Sustenance Projects(like ECN, ECO, etc.)

·         Expertise in creating and reviewing manufacturing (machining) drawings with sound knowledge on GD&TperASME Y14.5.

·         Knowledge in API standards is desirable.

·         Tolerance stack-up analysis is desirable.

·         Basic Machine Design calculations / Selection of standard parts.

·         Working Knowledge in Solidworks/ AutoCAD

·         Basic knowledge Oil & Gas drilling equipment and manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Convert customer requirements and abstract problem statements to Scope of Work documents.

·         Estimate the work

·         Responsible for completing deliverables with quality, process, and schedule.

·         Should be able to work on multiple projects.

·         Follow the Customer design standards, practices, and specifications

·         Identify productivity improvement ideas and opportunities.

·         Work with manufacturing, Installation teams on problem understanding and technical clarifications as required.

·         Prepare solutions based on individual RTA(Request for Technical Assistance)

·         Work on PLM or SAP environment

·         Ability to review FEA analysis reports will be added advantage.

 

 

Soft Skills Required:

·         A good verbal and written English skill

·         Customer interaction skills are essential.

·         Ability to perform independently and interact with multiple departments.

·         Should be self-motivated, flexible - ability to adapt to changing situations, directions, and scopes of work

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills for proposing new designs and innovations

·         Should be proactive, committed and a good team player.

·         Demonstrate ownership for the tasks handled.

 

 

Candidate Profile

·         Education   : B.E/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

·         Candidates will have to undergo Solid works tool test  - 2yrs to 5yrs

·         Female candidates with lesser experience will be also be considered for interview process.
