Hi everyone, 

I hope you've been enjoying break and are off to a great new year! I wanted to send a quick reminder about the contact policy in regards to recruitment. The following applies to every sorority member, with the exception of Pi Chis: 

Strict silence begins the moment that dorms open on Friday, January 10th. This includes, but is not limited to, phone calls, text messages, emails, Facebook messages, face-to-face interactions, and driving. Unfortunately, due to the proximity of Recruitment with the move-in date, affiliated chapter members are not allowed to pick PNMs up from the airport unless under extreme circumstances. This period goes until the conclusion of Bid Day on the evening of Monday, January 20th. All PNMs will be reminded of this before and throughout recruitment to avoid any misunderstandings on their end. Furthermore, PNMs and Pi Chis are encouraged to report any inappropriate communication between the rounds of Recruitment so please do not put any PNM in an uncomfortable situation by contacting them. As the golden rule goes, don't do anything that you wouldn't want another chapter's members doing. 

If you are driving a PNM back to school, then you must receive permission from either Alston Edwards, VP Judiciary, or Anna Powell, VP Recruitment. This shouldn't be a major problem since most of you have already returned to Charlottesville for your chapter's Recruitment preparation before the date that PNMs are allowed to move back into dorms. Please email Alston (aee4az) or Anna (acp2ec) with any questions/requests for permission, including extreme circumstances regarding rides from airport.
