Hello all,
At first, Nicholas' story was incomprehensible to me. How could the absence of a young, spirited, student go unnoticed by his friends and family for so long? But after thinking over it, I realized that disappearing in the college environment is much easier than we are willing to admit. While the cause of his death is still unknown, the circumstances surrounding it only magnify the reality of the tragedy. As classes become more demanding and we burry ourselves in our obligations, please take some time to connect with a friend. This time of year is particularly difficult for those struggling with loneliness, shades of depression, and/or anxiety. PLEASE be one element in each other's support systems, it could make a world of difference.
I apologize for "preaching to the choir" of you wonderful, caring sisters. Maybe this more of a reminder to myself than anything else. Thank you for being a constant support to me over the last several months and years, especially during my time living alone. I hope to always be the same to you!
Love,
Blythe
