Veganism 101
Most Canadians believe that it is wrong to unnecessarily harm animals. What happens when this principle is applied to our everyday lives? Is the use of animals - for food, clothing, science, or entertainment - necessary? Is less harm, such as 'humane' farming practices, an acceptable choice that falls in line with our ethics? What about vegetarianism?
The UVic Vegan Association presents "Veganism 101: An Introduction to Veganism". This presentation will explore a single basic reason for adopting a vegan lifestyle: the humane treatment principle. This is for everyone, not just non-vegans - new vegans and old vegans alike can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the ethics behind veganism with this straight-forward talk.

Free Pancake Brunch!
Despite the new location by Elk Lake, we still had lots of people show up. It's always great to get to know others who share the mutual interest of pancake consumption! Final tally was 102 pancakes!
