For everyone who is interested we are meeting at the church at 1pm
this Sunday 7/19 to carpool to the Linganore Reggae Wine Festival in
Mt. Ayre, MD. The cost is $15/person and includes wine glass, winery
tour, tasting of 19 grape & fruit wines, 30+ artisans & 2 live bands.

PLAN A TROPICAL ESCAPE TO LINGANORE WINECELLARS’ REGGAE WINE FESTIVAL

Relax and enjoy the sounds of the tropics without ever leaving town at
Linganore Winecellars’ Reggae Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday,
July 19 – 20, 2008. You’ll enjoy an afternoon of warm summer breezes
and sunshine on our beautiful 230 acre estate with 60 acres of
vineyards located in just 39 miles from Baltimore and Washington, DC
in peaceful Mt. Airy, Maryland.

The Soca influenced music of Passion Reggae Band
(www.passionreggaeband.com) will entertain on Saturday and Sunday from
12 noon to 3 p.m. Guests will then hear the harmonious rhythms and
dynamic vocals of Image Band (www.imageband.com) from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

Along with great music, be sure to enjoy the delicious food prepared
by our caterers. Harvey’s Catering will make your mouth water with
beef, turkey, chicken, fries, and nachos. It wouldn’t be a Reggae
Festival without Jamaica Catering’s jerk chicken (curry, brown stew,
fried wings), patties (beef. chicken veggie), tilapia, snapper, curry
goat, fried plantains, rice, peas, chicken kabobs, oxtail, conch
fritters, smoothies, and lemonade. Old Time Caterer’s will tantalize
your taste buds with sweet italian sausage (with peppers, onions, and
sweet sauce), pork bar-b-q, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, hotdogs
(plain, chili, or with sauerkraut), fresh cut fries, world’s best
fresh squeezed lemonade, and a selection of sodas. Allow J.B. Seafood
to satisfy your craving for fresh crab cake sandwich, softshell
sandwich, oyster sandwich, cajun catfish sandwich, fried butterfly
shrimp, chicken tenders, cole slaw, french fires, onion rings, and
bottled drinks.

While enjoying the views of our lovely vineyard, take a moment to
explore the many products of our 25+ artisans. Jewelry, glassware,
sculptures, temporary tattoos, breads, photography, and ironware are
just a few of the many items you will find.
