Suggestions for monthly financial report

Paul,

In the interest of greater financial transparency, I think what would be most useful is not additional detail, but a graphical presentation of the broad financial trends that UUFBR is facing.

I've taken the liberty of working with one of the Income and Expense monthly statements you provided to create a diagram in Microsoft Excel to illustrate this idea.

I do not want to replace the detailed Income and Expense reports you already provide; they are extremely useful. However, for someone like me not used to accounting documents, a visual summary like the one above, summarizing budgeted and actual amounts by subcategory, would prove very informative.

I think this might be useful for other board members and other UUFBR members as well.

Let me know what you think - I don't want to add too much to the substantial work you already are doing, unless we all think it is worthwhile!

I like the idea. Can we do this in such a way that anybody can prepare the data without spending a lot of time learning how it works and so they can examine the data critically.
