UUCW Green team,
I offer my yearly apologies for not being an active Green Team leader. Still working full-time, still over-committing.
But it is Earth Day tomorrow, and Sunday April 26 is our yearly coffee hour. I hope you will sign up for some of the tasks below! Just reply to this message to let me know what piece of this you will do.
Let me know if you want me to set up space on a table for you. I’ll bring some REC brochures. I’ve been organizing cleanups at nearby Hillside Beach on Coes Pond the last few years. Each year there’s less trash! We had a great group this year, including residents of Lakeside Apartments. Also, I’ve been part of the Coes Zone Task Force. On Saturday, there will be a transformation of Coes Beach (aka Mill St. Beach) -- Just watch! We're working with local universities on Coes Pond and Tatnuck Brook Watershed research and education projects. They’re doing more than ever before.
