Hi All -

Our next step is to meet to discuss options to pursue: Yeloha which would use the space on our roof and give us some of our electricity needs, or Sunbug, which would sell us the panels (with nice financing) and we would have nearly all our electricity supplied, but also be the proud owners of panels which would need some tending.

The current hang up is I haven't heard back from Aaron about meeting, having sent an email 2 days ago (and a phone message today). I know he's real busy. I want to hear from him before doing a Google Poll to schedule a meeting.

Any other ideas?

Mara

If we accepted their sketched-out plan the UUCW would get about 6000kwh per year off the power bill (worth about $1500 at this year's ~25 cents/kwh delivered rate, $1200 at recent years' ~20 cent pricing.) Not big money, but very low risk, with no up-front investment.

They will own the system, there is not a guaranteed option to buy (but in the world of business everything is negotiable, if that ever becomes desirable.) There may be other solar companies with community solar propositions & lease-to-own options, but this is a pretty clean & simple model to work with, and comes with no financial committment/risk.

Mara,

That seems like a good approach.
