Our Oregon News

Too many Oregonians have been falling behind for too long. We’re working harder than ever these days, but still barely making enough to get by.

That’s why Family Forward Action, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon, The Mother PAC, AFSCME, Service Employees International Union, Oregon AFL-CIO, Oregon Education Association, and Oregon Action joined together to start Fair Shot Oregon.

Fair Shot Oregon launched in September with a vision—to fight for 21st century solutions that change the rules about work, wages, and planning for our futures.

The struggles we’re fighting in Oregon are insurmountable for women and working families today. The only way we’re going to scale them is by making sure we have elected officials who will stand up and fight alongside us.

Next week, Fair Shot Oregon is holding town halls in Salem, Hillsboro, and Medford where candidates running for office have the opportunity to clarify where they stand on Fair Shot issues: living wages, equal pay, retirement security, paid sick time, and affordable women’s health care.

Hearing where our candidates and elected officials stand—and holding them accountable—is how we’re going to win on these important issues.

Which candidates are on the side of women and working families?

Come and find out.
