And let your representatives know what you think. As Simon Greer, president of the Nathan Cummings Foundation, and I explain in an op-ed on Alternet: When public systems work effectively, they immediately get embedded in individual and collective expectations about "the American quality of life," and taken for granted. Government, when it works, is just an invisible part of everyday life. This video makes the role that government plays in the "everyday business of business" more visible. We're in the midst of a national debate about what the role of government should be in American life. To engage constructively, the public needs to understand just what government currently does.
