Dear John, I thought you’d like to know about a compelling new documentary, The Raising of America, featuring our very own Judy Lichtman, other experts, and working people who struggle to manage the dual demands of their jobs and families while giving their children the best start in life. The film asks important questions: Why do we, as a nation, make it so hard for our children to thrive? How can we do better? (Hint: The solution includes paid family and medical leave.) I was extremely moved when I watched it … so much so that I immediately wanted to share it with you. I'm certain that this film has tremendous potential to start rich conversations and inspire action.
