Kurt Schrader, nominally a Democrat, voted against Oregon on climate, financial schemers on Wall St., and on honest food labels.

"Let's live on the planet as if we intend to stay."

[First_Name], sign and send the petition to your member of Congress: Stop selling out to Wall Street.

Republicans wasted no time in getting to work for Wall Street now that they control both the House and Senate—on just the second day of the new Congress, the GOP combined 11 different bills designed to weaken key parts of Dodd-Frank, the Wall Street reform bill passed by Democrats after the 2008 crisis.

And, of course, they gave this Wall Street handout a PR-friendly name—the Promoting Job Creation and Reducing Small Business Burdens Act—to make sure they got good headlines in the corporate media.

Your congressperson was one of 35 Democrats to join the GOP.

Sign and send the petition now.

Keep fighting,

Sadly, he was also amongst a group of Democrats who voted with Republicans to weaken the ACA (Affordable Care Act). http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/01/08/1356444/-Which-12-Democrats-Just-Voted-with-the-GOP-to-Weaken-the-ACA

AND

He joined Republicans in supporting the Keystone XL pipeline. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/01/09/1356646/-Which-28-Oily-Democrats-Just-Joined-the-GOP-to-Vote-for-Keystone-XL

Peace and respect,
Chad

Yes, if anyone has a suggestion for someone willing to primary him, it's definitely time.

While we as a congregation don't take stands on supporting political parties and candidates we are free to comment when politicians of any party fail to serve the common good and act at variance with our values - and I have witnessed several instances when I felt that Rep. Schrader fell short - in receiving funding from pharmaceutical companies and subverting efforts to contain the use of antibiotics, his stance on affordable care, and now this.    Thanks for making us aware of this.
