CANCELLED - Tabling of RJA - UUAA at Ypsilanti Juneteenth

Greetings Friends.
The Racial Justice Arc (RJA) is very grateful to all who help us build lasting relationships in our local communities and who support local businesses.
In 2024, we enjoyed our time together giving away books to children. Each book related to 1️⃣ of our 3️⃣ 20/50 Vision Objectives at UUAA. Our rewards were shy smiles.
However, we made a poor decision to follow through on tabling Juneteenth with insufficient volunteers during an Extreme Heat Watch. A mistake we promised ourselves we would not repeat in 2025.
Once again, we are under an Extreme Heat Watch for all of Southeast Michigan with insufficient volunteers to safely table.
Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling our RJA presence at Ypsilanti Juneteenth 2025.
Again, thanks to all who actively help RJA maintain our community partnerships and support local businesses.

PS. We do hope many UUAA members and friends will stop by Juneteenth to enjoy good food, good music and family friendly fun.
PPS. FYI - the $1000 Juneteenth Sponsorship funding from RJA is what helps Ypsilanti Juneteenth Jubilee to go ahead regardless of the weather or our physical presence.
