Hello UUAA Men's Group -
I don't want you to miss out on this great event at the University. Several institutes are bringing Leigh Steinberg (the real-life inspiration for Jerry Maguire) to campus for a
book signing/conversation. I’d love for you to join, with a friend!
Registration is
free, and every registrant receives a
free copy of Steinberg’s new book,
The Comeback—centered on resilience, recovery, and using lived experience to help others. What draws me isn’t the sports connection—it’s the theme on how people rebuild after setbacks, re-center on relationships, and find a healthier way forward. In a recent
interview, Steinberg talks openly about his setbacks, his recovery, and the “how” of coming back—denial, support systems, structure, and purpose. I expect to learn more about resilience from Leigh.
The event is hosted by the U-M Injury Prevention Center and includes remarks by its director
Dr. Douglas Wiebe,
as well as former University of Michigan Football Captain and entrepreneur,
Jarrett Irons.
