Men's Beer Night -- tomorrow at Union Rec at 7 pm

Today is Labor Day. While I'd hoped that my Labor Day would be a relief from my labors, sadly, yard work and other household duties intervened. That said, my commitment to assisting Dave with our monthly beer nights is a labor that cannot be put off any longer given that the event is just over a day away.

We have a very appropriate venue for our gathering. Tomorrow at 7 pm, on the day after Labor Day (or 2026 Labor Day's 364th Eve), we are gathering at Union Rec at 545 S. Main (on the old Fingerle's property). Nothing says Labor Day like a place with Union in its name. 

In fact, according to this piece on UM's website, our own Rev Harold Marley opened the church doors to union meetings in the '30s. I think that I can speak for Rev. Marley in saying that he would no doubt be pleased by our choice for tomorrow's gathering.
