ACM Members,

I'm trying to get a feel for how many people are interested in the ACM programming competition.

We will be sending teams of three to the programming contest. Each team will be given a set of problems to solve and several hours to solve them. The teams will have one computer on which to write code, and they must write programs in Java or C++ that will solve the assigned problems.

Because the teams will will be sharing a computer, problem solving is as valuable as programming skill. Even if you aren't much of a programmer, you can still be a valuable contributor to the teams.

If you are at all interested in participating in the contest, please let me know. I'll be scheduling some practice contests over the next few weeks, and it will help to know who is interested.
