Dear Mr Kandpal,

Jugraj Rayan for participation in the discussion of language development. . Never mind criticizing me at any moment if you feel I am wrong . I am of opinion that criticism means involvement and non-response means non-involvement . It is a great pleasure for me that you are very much involved for reading poetry in Kumaoni/Garhwali languages

You said that it is unfortunate on part of Bhishma Kukreti for instructing/prompting Garhwali language literature writers to avoid Hindi words while writing Kumauni/Garhwali language literature . My questions to answer your comments are as follows:

1- When a Garhwali or Kumauni writer is creating Garhwali/Kumauni language literature that means the writer has come in the field to serve Garhwali/Kumauni language and not Hindi at all. If any Garhwali/Kumauni language literature creative has come in the field of serving the language, that means the creative has to leave the love for Hindi or not?

What is the purpose of a Garhwali language literature creative ? Is Creative have purpose of Hindi progress or Garhwali /Kumauni language progress ?

2- If there are Garhwali/Kumauni words available and creative uses Hindi words, Is it not injustice to kill Garhwali/Kumauni language? Do you agree that Hindi should be used in Garhwali/Kumauni languages literature though there are words available in those respective languages ?

3- Who taught you that our mother tongue is Hindi ? Sorry ! My mother tongue is Garhwali and not Hindi (therefore pl don’t say our mother language is Hindi .Kindly don’t include me with you)

4- Is it justice to Garhwali language to use Langur word when there is guni word for Black monkey in Garhwali while creating Garhwali literature.. Secondly, in Garhwali Langur never means Black monkey . Langur is related to lord Shiva’s one name.

5- Who taught you that Garhwali /Kumauni languages are dialects and not languages ? Hindi is very new language and Kumauni/Garhwali languages are there minimum of two thousand years in that area . Because, there is no trace of other than Kumauni and Garhwali languages , it proves that Garhwali/Kumauni languages are there from Kaintura kingdom. If the languages are there for many centuries and as court languages of two countries , it means they are languages and not dialects at all.

As far as poem of gaud ji fine and as per time and it is appreciable on part of Parashar ji to create such contemporary oriented subject poetry that readers are interested to read them . Since, Parashar ji is the senior most poet after Shri Sudama Prasad Premi , it is utmost responsibility of Parashar ji to see that Hindi words are not used if Garhwali words are available

I request you to understand the situation of Garhwali and Kumauni languages and you will agree with me that today, our problem is to protect our own words at least in written form

Dear Mr. Kukreti,

Its very unfortunate that you are promoting the garhwali writers to avoid the use of hindi. I am very surprise that how can you pass such a unfortunate statement. Hindi is out mother language, and garhwali/kumouni are dialect.

Mr. gaur has written a very nice poem stanza. thanks for it but very unfortunate is the saying of mr. kukreti.

Dear all,

I was reading the poem of senior poet Shri Parashar gaud and he wrote one word Langur for black monkey

When I was stating that Garhwali writers should avoid Hindi words, my intention was this type of mistake only

First of all Guni word is there in Garhwali for langur of Hindi or black monkey

Secondly, the word Langur in Garhwali is related to another name  of Lord Shiva (Langur is derived from Lasit or so ) . That is why there is Patti Langur in pauri Garhwal and this is not related to Black monkey but with Bhairon or lord Shiva (Dr Vishnu prasad Kukreti, of Barsudi , Patti langur)

Therefore,, Parashar ji should have taken care in writing Langur for black monkey in his poetry
