Is Remigration Possible in Uttarakhand ?

Migration from hills of Uttarakhand started with the beginning of british rule in the area. After independence , the migration was heavy. At the time of separate Uttarakhand movement , it was dreamt that there will be less migration of youth from Uttarakhand to other areas including foreign countries. However, the situation of youth going out of state in search of better job or better earning the migration did not lessen .Migration have been effecting social structure , economic structure, agricultural aspects etc in the hills of Uttarakhand.
Today, the situation is that Uttarakhandis have built houses in other parts of India and in many foreign countries and now their next generation will loose contacts with Uttarakhand
Since, migration is increasing on day to day basis due to globalization of economy apocket of thinkers suggesting that if migration from hills of Uttarakhand cant be stopped , there should be remigration of Pravashi (immigrants )
Remigration means returning of migrated Uttarakhandis to their homeland
The following migrated Uttarakhandis may return and settle in Uttarakhand
1- Retired Uttarakhandis settling in villages of Uttarakhand : This is will be called best situation for Uttarakhand at least the villages will have population and retired Uttarakhandis could help development in villages by their investment
2- Retired Uttarakhandis settling in towns and cities of Uttarakhand : It is better that instead of settling in Delhi, Mumbai the retired persons settle in Uttarakhand’s towns and cities
3- The youth who are not getting substantial salaries in other parts of India should return to Uttarakhand and should start business or take jobs in Uttarakhand . The best example is of West Africa happened in 1980 (Nigeria etc) when the low salaried paid emigrants returned to their countries due to economic boom (Oil boom)
4- The unemployed Uttarakhandi youth living out side of Uttarakhand get jobs in Uttarakhand and settle here (as seen Ghanean returning to Ghana from European countries )
5- Migrated Uttarakhandis open business in Uttarakhand and settle here (As many New Zealand persons did after remgration/returning from UK to their home land New Zealand )
6- The youth doing jobs outside of Uttarakhand in private sectors and take jobs here in Uttarakhand
7- Migrated Uttarakhandis sending their children for study in educational institutions of Uttarakhand
The following aspects are necessary for remigration of migrated Uttarakhandis to Uttarakhand
1- Emotional motivation returning to Uttarakhand by migrated ones
2-Emotional and physical comforts in Uttarakhand in comparison to other parts of India
3- No harsh hassles in experiences while living, working or studying in Uttarakhand after returning in Uttarakhand by migrated ones
4- There should be sense of Identity for migrated Uttarakhandis when migrated ones return to their homeland
5- Opportunities in Uttarakhand
If the above facilities are available in Uttarakhand , migrated Uttarakhandis may return to their homeland
The process of returning by migrated Uttarakhandis is not easy and is not possible in one day. The process will take time and the process requires thinking and many activities within society in Uttarakhand and outsides of Uttarakhand and within administration wing of Uttarakhand government
