Hello Utterly Voice users,
Whether you love or hate AI, there is one undeniable truth... if you use AI, you will significantly reduce the amount of typing and mousing you need to perform. When using voice dictation to operate your computer, this translates into fewer syllables said. However, many popular AI user interfaces are not keyboard-friendly, hence they are difficult to optimize for voice-only computer use. Utterly Voice aims to fix this problem, so that people with hand disabilities can better take advantage of AI.
Introducing the Utterly Voice Editor. This editor is now bundled with the Utterly Voice dictation system by providing a voice optimized text/code editor with Gemini AI integration. You can use it for editing basic text, markdown, coding, settings files, AI assisted analysis/edits, simple AI chats, etc.
This editor is not an IDE. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, similar to a terminal-based editor with no menus or buttons. The AI integration is designed for users who prefer micromanaging AI, rather than letting AI have full project/computer control. All AI file reads/writes are only performed with your explicit review and approval using a voice driven change-by-change accept/reject process.
In addition to the new editor, the following notable changes have been made:
Added a "chess" mode for playing chess on chess.com.
Added a "windows terminal" mode for using the Windows CMD and PowerShell terminals.
Changed the "lower" and "upper" commands to "small" and "big".
Support for Google Cloud Speech to Text V2 has been added.
