Position: Senior Project Manager with IAM Experience

Duration: 6+ months Contract (Possibility of Extension)

Location: Houston, TX

 

DESCRIPTION:

·         Looking for experience with Identity Access Management (IAM), single sign-on (SSO), program management, business analysis, and possibly lean experience.

·         Lead the delivery of internal and outsourced IT projects from project Initiation to Close so as to deliver projects on time and within budget and to meet the desired business objectives.

 

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Secures the acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project’s Sponsor & Stakeholders.
• Develops the project plans and initiates the projects by confirming scope, budget, timeline, resources, roles & responsibilities.
• Manages the team’s performance of project tasks through Plan, Analyze, Design, Execute, Deploy and Close.
• Performs project communications and reporting including status reporting, risk and issue management; effectively leads project team meetings.
• Provides leadership, escalations and decision making support by establishing project governance.
• Complies with ITPMO methodology, stage gate and deliverable requirements based on project tier.
• Develops impact assessments as it relates to changes in the project scope.
• Leads the development of estimates and estimating assumptions; receives input from technical sources/teams.
• Manages business partner relationships to build knowledge of their business and applications.
• Promotes/develops IT awareness and technical understanding of business stakeholders/partners.
• Manages vendor relationships including the billings/expenses against contracts; accurately forecasts billings/expenses.
• Records, shares, and archives lessons learned upon project closure.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to manage relationships with internal business customers.
• Ability to lead groups of IT professionals, coach, supervise, & maintain team morale; control scope and manage project financials.
• Strong & effective written and verbal communication skills. 
• Experience with technical infrastructure programs / projects within upstream oil and gas desirable but not required.
• Basic knowledge of external competition, industry and or market trends.
• PMP certification desired but not required
