Green Racing: Technology Transfer from the Raceway to the Driveway
Join us for this one-of-a-kind discussion about racing technologies with world-class panelists at the exclusive Velocity Lounge at the Circuit of The Americas!
When: Thursday Sep 19 6:30-8:30pm. Panel starts at 7:00pm.
This September, the American Le Mans Series and the World Endurance Championship are coming to The Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. With its multi-class racing among exotic and technically advanced prototypes and legendary GT sports cars like Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, BMW and SRT Viper, Le Mans gives fans non-stop action, while providing manufacturers with a real-life laboratory to push the limits of automotive innovation and technology.
The race weekend will get kicked-off on Thursday, September 19th at 6:30 pm with a world-class panel to discuss how advanced automotive technology transfers from the raceway to your driveway. Hear from world famous brands and organizations such as Audi, the American Le Mans Series, US DOE, and the Deltawing Project.
Join us for drinks, snacks and engaging discussion about how race car innovations become features on consumer vehicles, and meet the people who are directly responsible for designing and implementing these technologies. Ticket includes admissions, snacks, and drink tickets.
Come and learn about the development of the Green Racing Protocols used by the American Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship, and hear about the technology that powers cars like the dominant diesel-electric hybrid Audi R18 e-tron quattro that recently won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Toyota TS030 hybrid, or the revolutionary Deltawing that uses half as much fuel as its competitors.
Our world-class panel includes:
Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, Head of Audi Sport
Scott Atherton, President, American Le Mans Series
Bob Larsen, Green Racing Consultant, US Department of Energy
Andy Meyrick, Driver, The Deltawing Project
