Dear UTS Graduates,
The new web portal for The Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (MAAC)
is up and running now. UTS graduates are encouraged to check out the portal
designed and created by UTS Alumnus, David Tann. MAAC is the national
organization for Malaysian alumni associations of Australian universities and
other institutions of higher learning
The new portal comes with a long list of new features with Australian graduates in mind:
1) E-Community
First of all, this is no way in comparison with Facebook. This is just a feature introduced to connect users. Now you can get connected with other users based on information such as User Profile, University, Industry, Company Name, etc. Do check out the "Member List" section on top of the webpage. This feature is only applicable to registered users. So register now as one of our users. By the way…don't forget to upload your picture too.
2) Scholarship
The scholarship section is an important element to MAAC. Latest scholarship details will be posted on this section from to time.
3) News from Down Under
Wish to get yourself updated with the current affairs in Australia? This is your solution…Now you can get the latest daily news from Australia including National Headlines, Local States (NSW, Vict, Queensland, etc), Australian Sports, Business, Education, Politics, Austrade and Australian Bureau of Statistics. We also plan to include other headlines in the near future. So stay tuned to this section.
4) News from University
Wish to know what's going on with your university? We have the answer for you. This new feature will allow you to get daily updates, news, and announcements from most of the universities in Australia. Isn't that a good reason for you to stay in touch with your university?
5) Improve Your Search Experience
In addition to providing easy access our web pages, our built-in search engine allows you to find exactly what you're looking for. Our search engine will provide the most comprehensive search experience for you.
6) Latest and Popular News
These two sections feature the latest and most popular articles available on our website. Don't be left in the dark. Check out the latest news from all Australian university alumni group in Malaysia and get yourself up to date. Latest articles will be posted from time to time. So, keep an eye on this section.
7) Jobs
Now you can get the latest job postings available in Malaysia, Australia and Singapore from leading recruitment agencies. This feature will definitely make your job hunt much easier. You no longer need to spend time checking three different websites. They are here under one roof.
8) Photo Gallery
It's almost impossible to have a website without a photo gallery these days. So, we included a gallery with the latest event photos. So, check out now.
9) Share articles with friends
Now, you can share news and articles with your friends in a more convenient way. You can send these articles to your friend via email by clicking on the 'envelope' icon available on each article. Simple as that
10) RSS Feed
On the run and wish to get update via your PDA, iPhone, etc? No problemo…The days of needing your computer to get to our web portal are long gone. You can now use your mobile device to surf and access our portal from anywhere.
11) Sitemap
Are you lost? Not sure where you're heading? Overwhelmed with information? Narrow down your search by using our sitemap section.
