Terry Fox Run KL 2009 & Celebration Dinner - Register by Thursday, 29 Oct 2009

Dear UTS Alumni,

Its time to have fun whilst doing our bit for charity! :)

Yes, you've heard it right! The UTS Alumni is doing its bit for charity and we need your help to do so!

All alumni are invited to join members of the UTS Australian Alumni Malaysian Chapter (UTSAAMC) to take part in the Terry Fox Run in Kuala Lumpur this coming Sunday - Nov 1, 2009. The Terry Fox Run is an annual charity event held in regions across the globe in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox and to raise money for cancer research.

UTSAAMC are amassing a team of alumni participants and the membership cost will be waived for the first 50 participants that register with us. As this is a non-competitive run, participants are also allowed to walk, cycle, rollerblade or skateboard.

The details of the Terry Fox Run KL 2009 are as follows:

Date: 1 Nov 2009

Time: 7am (Please be here early as we have to arrange for your registration as well as to take a photo with the entire team)

Location: Taman Tasik Perdana (Lake Gardens), Kuala Lumpur

Distance: 3.5 km or 5 km (you can take a choice of the shorter or longer route)

Cost: RM 25 (Register early as the first 50 participants from UTS can register for free, courtesy of UTS: Alumni!)

Further details will be sent out by end of this week once logistics are confirmed.

That's not all! We will also be having a Celebration Dinner for all UTS Alumni the following Saturday (7 Nov 09) as a follow up from the Terry Fox Run. As such, all UTS Alumni are invited to join in the post-event dinner to mingle around as well as to enjoy some great food and drinks (we are tying to get some good Australian wine!)

The details of the Celebration Dinner are as follows:

Date: 7 Nov 2009

Time: 7pm

Location: Frames Restaurant, TTDI Plaza, Kuala Lumpur.

Cost: RM 15 (The 50 participants we are sponsoring for Terry Fox Run KL will be able to come in for free! Double bonus right?!)

Dear all! 

I am pleased to announce that we have managed to gather 50 UTS (the rest can and still attend!) graduates to participate in the Terry Fox Run KL 09 tomorrow! :)

The meet up point (attached in this email) is the parking lot just near the KL Lake Club at the Lake Gardens.

I will be there from 7am onwards so do come early so that we can take some photographs as well! :)

You can also call me at 016 3484 822 for more info.

Please take note that you will need to meet me to pick up your Terry Fox tshirts. Besides that, we have also managed to get some UTS tshirts, UTS caps and UTS tumblers for all of you that are running on the day. As such - do come early as sizes are limited and are on first come first serve basis.
