uTracer Firmware Upgrade Processor: Has anyone used it?

Hi all,

I'm a relatively new uTracer user and I'm still learning how to use it.

I have been looking at the  utMax GUI, which I tried and it seems great. I saw that the creator also offers a replacement upgrade processor for the uTracer 3 and 3+ which, arguably, improves the performance of the uTracer unit.

Has anyone proceeded to the above mentioned upgrade? If yes, what is his experience from this upgrade? Is it worthy?

I use his firmware on my FUtracer. It's far superior to the uT stock firmware. Much smarter, faster, and more stable in my experience. You'd only be able to use utMax with the new firmware, but the software is also much better than the uT GUI.

I use it. It's much faster than the original one. But you must be careful too about the power supply used. It's more sensitive than the original one IMHO.

Thank you both for your replies. I will order one.

Josh, what you mean about being careful about the power supply used? Currently, I use a standard 19V laptop PS. Could you elaborate more on this?

I have experienced using uTmax software and one 19V laptop psu, I can not finished the calibration process because the grid value drifting beyond normal value and the measurement process was so slow. 

I have to tied the negative side of the psu to earth so the process could finish and the measurement process ran faster.

Using battery pack, the problem didn't exist.

Tried another laptop psu, the problem didn't exist too.
