Apps Not War
Hi Dr. Fadzil!
How have you been? Hope you had a great weekend.
I called you last Friday regarding our upcoming event, Hackweekend 3.
If you have any more questions regarding the event, please feel free to contact
me at 016-2207411 or dars...@tandemic.com
Also, we would like to know if your university is organizing any events on 31st
March 2012 and 1st April 2012 or have any exams during that time.
We are looking forward to see your students participating in the next
Hackweekend.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Have a great week!
Regards,
Darshini Nadarajan

Salam Dr. Fadzil,
We haven't spoken in a while, and I hope that things are going well on your side!
I'm writing you this email for two reasons, first would be to introduce you to Darshini, Hackweekend's new team member who will be the liaison for student participation, and second, to get ten of your most talented students to participate in Hackweekend 3: Make Apps, Not War.
The last Hackweekend was particularly exciting because of a new pool of participants - largely made out of your talented students who walked away with a really cool app and managed to connect and learn from the best in Malaysia's tech community. It would be our pleasure to have even more students from UTP to participate in the upcoming Hackweekend that will be themed around the broader meaning of love. Since your students had such a great time at the last Hackweekend (and we really enjoyed having them there), we don't think Hackweekend would be complete without UTP students.
The details for the upcoming Hackweekend are as follows:
Dates: 31st March and 1st April
Venue: National Science Centre, Mont Kiara
Theme: Make Apps, Not War
Do let me know if these dates are OK with you and your students, and if they conflict with exams or any other events that might be going on at the same time. We're looking forward to your response and to having more UTP students at Hackweekend 3!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Darshini at 016 220 7411 or dars...@tandemic.com or myself. Wishing you a great day ahead!
