How to remove the citation in figure or table title in list of figure or tables

Dear all,

i have a problem to remove the citation on the figure or table title in the list of figure or table. It also effect reference numbering because the latex will consider  the citation inside the figure or table as first citation and continue with citation in the chapter 1...please help me.

Hi Sharizan,

You can type in two versions of captions.. one for LOF or LOT only and the other for in-text.

It goes like this:

\caption[Short version]{Very very very very long version}

Yap
