How to find me:
I've got a t-shirt from Reason magazine(www.reason.com), which I'll
wear.
To be discussed:
- What we want to do this semester. I think I'd like to focus more on
the members and what they want to do/know/learn, rather than on
political activism and changing the minds of others, which takes more
work with fewer rewards, in the short run. I think this will be more
useful to you people, and more likely to grow the organization into
something with clout. I'd like to hear what you all think of this; if
and how you'd like to make this happen.
- As I've mentioned before, I want to show this movie, asap:

If you all agree and pitch in, it can be an easy event to put on and an
excellent way to help protect UT students from falling prey to
victimless drug crime laws.
- Notwithstanding the whole activist vs. social organization discussion
above, this is an election year, and some of us worked hard to get
Badnarik on the ballot, so I'd like to make some noise, just to let
people know that Kerry and Bush are both retarded, and that there is an
alternative. Also, I'm sure he'd love to speak, this would take more
effort to put on, but if you all want to make that happen, it certainly
can.
- I want to make cool t-shirts. Any ideas?
So please, if you care even a little bit about libertarianism, or once
did, or think you might at some point in the future, come by Double
Dave's on Monday, or, if you want to be involved, but can't make it,
feel free (;-)) to e-mail me at UTLi...@gmail.com

In other news, pick up a copy of the Daily Texan today, because LP
Presidential nominee Michael Badnarik, has a front page story
(http://www.dailytexanonline.com/news/2004/08/26/TopStories/Libertarian.Challenges.Bush-705501.shtml).
I'm quoted, which is always nice.
I had a letter published in the NY Times the other day (huzzah!). You
can find it here (it's the last of the 5):
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/16/opinion/l16intern.html
Notice, the other guy on my side of the argument is an economist.
The letter refers to these stories:
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/10/politics/10interns.html
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/10/business/10flier.html
As I've mentioned before, the web-page is up and running:
(www.utliberty.org) If anyone likes to write, and would like to
contribute to the blog occaisionally, I'm all for it. So come to the
meeting or e-mail me and I'll get you set up.
That's all for today, folks. I hope to see y'all on Monday.
