I'm attempting to keep track of our activities as a club:
http://texlug.org/blog/?page_id=51A lot of the listings are missing AFOL and public attendance numbers. You'll have to fudge something (and that's fine, just estimate and state that it's an estimate) or try to get hard numbers from the hosts of the events.
And I know I'm missing other events, such as some of the Dallas-area events.
There are 68 members on the main mailing list. There are 137 members of our discussion forum.
I haven't brought this up yet, and we should probably discuss this separately, but later this year we are going to probably focus on splitting TexLUG into distinct LUG groups:
- Houston (including surrounding area: Clear Lake, League City, Spring, Katy, Humble, Beaumont, etc.)
- Dallas (incl. Ft. Worth, Grapevine, etc.)
- San Antonio (Universal City, New Braunfels, etc.)
- Austin (Fphffputttlugerville :-) Round Rock, Buda, San Marcos, etc.)
- UT (
http://groups.google.com/group/utlegogroup)
TexLUG will be an umbrella covering all the groups, but officially, each group will be a LUG.
We operate mostly based on location-specific groups anyway, so transitioning into official sub-lugs shouldn't be much of an issue. I think we should propose a standard format for representation of each group. For example, each group shall have:
- A website
- A mailing list
- Statement of purpose, goals, and membership info
- Events specific to the group*
* And this is easy. Each event is categorized based on location. I.e. a train show in San Antonio is a SA event, but always with the understanding that anyone state-wide is more than welcome to attend. The only exception being Brick Fiesta, which is inherently state-wide (as far as presentation goes; invitation is international :-)
Anyway, going off on a tangent here. Please give it some thought. We'll address it at a later date.
I just mention it here, because when you (Tony) make a report to LEGO, you might consider reporting based on specific locations, i.e. fill out LEGO's requested info per the groups mentioned above.

Hey TexLUG,
LEGO would like us to update our information, as per the whole LEGO
Ambassador program. I'll be working on this, but I'd appreciate any
input.
