You can insert icons into Microsoft 365 documents. You can rotate, color, and resize them with no loss of image quality. These icons are free to use and there's no royalty or copyright to worry about.

If you need graphics for a project, there's a feature you can use called icons. Icons are a library of modern, professional graphics included with Office 365 and 2019, and they can be customized to fit your needs. Icons are available in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

The Insert Icons menu will appear. You can scroll through a wide range of subjects, including people, technology, commerce, the arts, and more. Once you find an icon you like, select it and then click Insert.

To change the color of an icon, select the icon you'd like to edit. The Format tab will appear. Then click Graphics Fill and select a color from the drop-down menu.

You can also change an icon's size by grabbing one of the sizing handles and dragging it. Because they're vector graphics, you can make the icons as large as you want without them looking pixelated.

Using icons in your presentations can be a powerful tool to better communicate your ideas. Here you can find a quick guide to learn how to add and modify icons in PowerPoint. There are two ways to do this, so let's check them out.

When you open a Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file saved in your Dropbox account, the Dropbox badge appears on the right side of your screen. This is different to the Dropbox icon in your taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Mac).

Interest has been expressed within the Esri community with having Esri provide a set of icons for building presentations, particularly those involving conceptual IT architectures. Esri recently released an initial set of "Esri Presentation Icons" which can be used to develop conceptual architecture diagrams to provide a unified view of GIS deployments. Attached is the initial set of icons that are being provided for customer usage.

Icons are just images... are you "extracting" the icons for this or using the .exe for the icon... typically you would extract the icon from a program or use the icons in shell32.dll. Could you expand on what you are doing?

I reinstalled Office, with no luck. The issue still persisted. Then, I tried the Internet Explorer "fix" again, and it worked again, for now. It worked the first time, then failed when a new powerpoint presentation was created. We'll see.

If we have a label named 'LabelGalleryItemTitle' and we want it to appear clickable, we can put an icon over it, say one named 'IconClick', then set these properties (I used a simple right arrow icon)...

@Jenifer
No, you cannot make the mouse cursor change to a hand when hovering over a label. The workaround is to place icon or button over top of the label and set the Visible property to this code.

To resolve, add a search icon and configure it with the launch parameter for onselect then expand the search icon over the text and in the properties and delete the icon.search text under the icon properties. Now when you hover over the text it will change to a hand.

Icons can be changed to any color in NC State's color palette. Either place a white icon on a field of color, or convert an icon's color for use on a white background. Only use one color per icon. Icons should not be altered or combined.

The EPS, PNG and SVG files are available below. For print projects, use the EPS files to ensure that icons print clearly at any size. PNG files should only be used in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office. SVG files are for web purposes.

You can also include approved social media icons that link to the university's social media channels. When used this way, the icons should appear at the bottom of the email signature, below all the other elements, including the NC State brick. Don't resize the icons, and keep them on a single line together, without any other text or graphics on that line.

To include the icons as part of your email signature, follow a similar process as the one outlined above, inserting each icon in turn as explained in step 4. Next, click on an icon to select it, and then click the Link button. In the "Edit Link" box that appears, paste the URL for the channel the icon represents into the "Web address" field and click "OK." Do this with each icon in turn, until each icon links to its respective channel. Don't include the icons in your signature without linking them in this way. Once you have added the icons to your signature and clicked "Save Changes," send a test email to ensure the links are working correctly.

If you're using Microsoft 365, Microsoft now provides access to hundreds of pre-loaded PowerPoint icons, included in with your PowerPoint subscription. But they're a bit tricky to find, so we've created a step by step guide:

If you're a graphic designer or you're working with a design team, you might have custom icons for your organization that you want to save in PowerPoint to easily reuse. PPT Productivity's Slide Library for PowerPoint lets you save icons, shapes, images and text for easy reuse from the Slide Library Toolbar.

To connect lines between objects, choose a line from the Shapes icon, move your cursor over the object until you see green circles on the edge of the shape. Click and hold on the green circles, drag a line to the other object until you see a green circle again, and then let go of the mouse button.

To group objects together, select one, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and select the other(s), then click on the Group icon in the Arrange Group of the Picture (or Shape) Format Ribbon. When moved, resized, or animated, grouped objects act as one.

Click on the Remove Background icon, then PowerPoint will guess which part of the image to remove (shown below in purple), and bring up the Background Removal Ribbon. This Ribbon allows you to make adjustments to the area that will be removed. This tool does well with single color removal, but it can also work on more complicated backgrounds as well.

PowerPoint Designer is an amazing feature in PowerPoint 365 for Windows that lets you quicklychange how your slides are formatted so that you can present them confidently. But did you know that PowerPoint Designer's features go even further? For example, youcan change a bulleted list to a SmartArt graphic, complete with icons. These icons can then be changed, and you can also edit the SmartArt graphic itself with a fewclicks.

The magnifying glass icon is generally used as a symbolic representation of zoom or search. However, it can also be used to convey the most creative business ideas and to add an element of interest to the presentation. It also helps in highlighting some important concepts like financial loopholes, business growth, problem-solving, etc.
