Hash Table - uthash

Hello. I'm using uthash for a code of my own and I want to know how to use a hash with key and value as strings. I only need to insert a key and its corresponding value and then find a value corresponding to a key parameter. 
Can you explain me what I have to do, what fuctions to use and how to use them?
