So what's the deal with the applications? Are we doing interviews? Can we at least get a chance to look through them?

How many applications do we have total? I dont think its necessary to do interviews especially if we end up taking everyone lol.

Ronak and I just discussed this. Pending the final number of applications we get (some are still flowing in), we most likely will not do interviews since its looking like we'll have right around 25ish.

We have 21 applicants so far. We don't need to waste time with interviews this year, but yeah I can send over the applications for anyone who wants to look through them. Daniel and I just talked and we decided that it's probably best if we send out decisions next week (which will be yes's for everyone - unless y'all disagree), and we'll hold our first meeting on Tuesday, March 19th (Tues after spring break).

If y'all really want to, we can skim through the apps and make sure everyone that has applied genuinely wants to do it, but from what I've seen, everyone looks pretty good.

Also, I need to know if any of you guys want to go. If you do, I need to know by the end of this week (if you're even thinking about going, reply to this email now and let me know). I really need a headcount to submit to Panama, so I need a response from y'all as soon as possible.

Once again, let me know now if you're considering it, and then try to have a final response by Friday, March 8th.

I'm considering going, but I might not be able to make a final decision until some time in April

Same. We should set aside a day to do that like we did last semester.
Ronak : I am not going this trip.

Ok, so I just realized there's less time than anticipated.

We basically need to book flights by first or second week of April, meaning they need to have enough money in their empowered accounts for airfare by then. Meaning we can't wait till after spring break for our first meeting.

So:
1st meeting will be this Wednesday. Daniel's reserving the room for us for 8pm.

1st $250 deadline will be right after Spring Break.

Additional deadlines will come quickly after that.

Meaning we need to send out decisions by Sunday night.

I can't meet anytime this weekend, I'm going out of town. Would you guys like to meet though and go through them?

Yes, let's meet Sunday afternoon. We can do it at the Starbucks on 24th like last semester (pretty central location and we can make it a tradition haha), and to keep it quick let's agree to spend no more than three minutes on each application.

What time works best for y'all? I'm free pretty much all day until 7.

Just a heads up - only throw an application out if it's like absolutely horrendous or they clearly don't care to go on the trip. I don't really want people to be cut seeing as we're right at a good amount.

But yeah that's fine - send me your decisions by mid-Sunday and then we can send the emails out Sunday night.

Okay, so unless anyone else is busy during this time, let's set aside 3 to 4:30 on Sunday for reviewing applications. See y'all at the 24th St. Starbucks

Hey Ian,

I won't be able to make it by 3pm. Sorry for the inconvenience, please let me know if I can do anything outside of today's meeting. I'm stuck at the kite festival due to an incredible amount of traffic.
