Churches are not temples of the Lord
Do not put your trust in lying words, saying, the
Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord!
Jeremiah 7:4
"And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto
him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings?
there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown
down." Mark 13:1-2.
Why would this magnificent temple be destroyed? The explanation
is that the temple belonged to the old covenant. When God through
Jesus Christ had made a new covenant, then the old temple had not
longer any function, and it was destroyed as Jesus said. Mark 14:24.
Hebr. 8:6-13. After the Lord built his new temple, the Assembly of
God, he has had no other temple here on the earth.
The God who made the world and everything in it, is the Lord of
heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.
Acts 7:48. 17:24. The Assembly of God is God's temple. 1 Cor.
3:16-17. Eph. 2:21. God's priesthood is the whole Assembly .
"Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by
Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 2:4-9.
The tabernacle and the temple in the old covenant were only a
shadow of the real temple - The Assembly of God. The laws
concerning offering of animals referred to Jesus' perfect offering
of himself. Please, read Hebrews chapters 7 - 10. Since Jesus had
finished his offering, offerings of animals were not longer
necessary. "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them
that are sanctified." Hebr. 10:14.
"But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by
a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that
is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and
calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebr. 9:11-28.
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come
unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for
them." Hebr. 7:25.
The temple of the old covenant is not longer existing, and it
belongs to the past. The temple, which God has now, is not built
of stones nor wood. It is a living temple and it consists of all
those who are born anew and who love Jesus. 1 Cor. 3:16-17.
2 Cor. 6:16.
Unfortunately, many people have not comprehended this. They
think that the churches are temples of God. They are still living
among the shadows, and they are 2000 years behind the times.
They have not understood that God through Jesus Christ has made
a new covenant. Luke 22:19-20. They look at the magnificent
church buildings and mean that here is the Temple of the Lord,
the Temple of the Lord! It is not true. The church's buildings
are only imitations and falsifications of the temple of the old
covenant.
The churches are not offering animals. The Catholic Church has
its own laws about offering. Instead of offerings of animals, the
Church prosecutes religious slave-trade and slaughter men. The
Catholic Church has murdered millions of Christians in its
attempt to exterminate the Assembly of God.
The Free-Churches are all relatives of the Catholic Church.
They have come into existence about revivals, but they are not
from God. If the Christians had waked up properly, then they
would be seen how the devil in the very middle of the revival
laid a foundation to a new false copy of the Assembly of God.
Still today, the Christians have not perceived nor understood
the connection between the stagnation of the revival and
establishing of churches.
