Hi everybody. After class on Thursday, Mar 11, a
student came up to me and presented an argument
that made me reconsider the last problem on the
Quiz. In that problem, I asked you whether H1 was
necessary. I said the correct answer was "Yes".
The student's argument convinced me that H1 was
not necessary. But when I got home I went through
it carefully and realized that H1 was indeed
necessary.

But the whole discussion after class left me
feeling like that last question was just too hard
to answer in the time allowed. So I gave
everybody a point for it, whether you answered
"Yes" or "No". The correct answer was "Yes".
