Android Studio 32 Bit Windows 7 Download

Ijust downloaded and installed Android Studio. For whatever reason, it won't open. I've tried running it as administrator, but that doesn't seem to work either. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I'm still having this same problem.

Even though it found my JDK during installation, it wasn't able to find it when I was trying to open it, for some reason. Simple fix. Add a JDK_HOME environment variable to your system variables. It should contain the path to your JDK's ROOT directory. i.e. c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21\

If Studio doesn't start after an upgrade, the problem may be due to an invalid Android Studio configuration imported from a previous version of Android Studio or an incompatible plugin. As a workaround, try deleting (or renaming, for backup purposes) the directory below, depending on the Android Studio version and operating system, and start Android Studio again. This will reset Android Studio to its default state, with all third-party plugins removed.

I already had JDK installed and jdk.1.7.0 folder was present in C:\Program Files\Java. But path for that folder didn't work. You must have jdk.1.7.xxx folder present on your machine and give that folder as JDK_HOME in Environment variable.

Click on Environment Variables button. A Winodw will open with 2 listboxes. Click on New button below System variables listbox. New Window will pop up. Provide name as JDK_HOME and path as your path like "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_55". No need to take bin folder into the path.

None of the above mentioned solution worked for me. And there is no studio.bat file in bin directory.So, I downloaded a 32-bit android-studio for my system (as it is 32bit) from here (official website) and it worked!

You don't have to reinstall the Android Studio. In my case, I just deleted "C:\Users\User.AndroidStudio3.5" folder. Then Android Studio is opened. The folder contains just personel settings such as your ide theme darcula etc.

Zuhair Naqi's solution is good, but in my case I don't have the option to maximize. So I found another method, because in my case the Android Studio (Bumblebee) does not open every time the windows was updated.

Make sure you are not using two Languages (Hindi + English) as input method because android studio install required some time stamp and suppose you are using Hindi language that time and letters will not match at the time of opening Solution is - select primary Language as English while installing Android Studio.To change steps

I have already seen this question.But that's for Mac OS. I am using windows. Every time I create a new project or try to build/rebuild the project it freezes!! I have installed the latest version(9/10/2016). But things are getting worse. I want to completely remove it and install it as if I would be installing it for the first time. The first step is to run the uninstaller. Open the Control Panel and under Programs, select Uninstall a Program. After that, click on "Android Studio" and press Uninstall. If you have multiple versions, uninstall them as well.

To delete any remains of Android Studio setting files, in File Explorer, go to your user folder (%USERPROFILE%), and delete .android, .AndroidStudio and any analogous directories with versions on the end, i.e. .AndroidStudio1.2, as well as .gradle and .m2 if they exist.

In 2021, If you are looking for uninstall.exe, the latest Android studio version doesn't come with an uninstaller. Download an older version of the Android studio from the Android studio download archive official LINK; you can download Android Studio 4.1.1.

Note that AppData folder is hidden by default, to make visible it go to view tab and check hidden items in windows8 and10 ( in windows7 Select Folder Options, then select the View tab. Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then select OK.

Copy (do not cut) and Paste the uninstall.exe from the installed Android Studio folder in your original Android Studio folder. Now, run the uninstall.exe which you just pasted, this will start the uninstall process for your original Android Studio.

Complementary to the 1st and 2nd upvoted answers, also take a look if anything like Android Studio folder remains at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ to avoid wrong references in future installations.

latest Android Studio in 2022, Marchhas an uninstall.exe in the root directory.For me uninstalling from "Windows Remove Programms View" didn't work, failing with error popup.But going to the installation directory and just executing uninstall.exe just works perfectly.

This is running on Windows 7 64-bit with Java 1.7. During the installation, my Java 1.7 is detected, and the rest of the installation goes through just fine. However, when attempting to launch the application from the desktop icon, nothing happens. Looking at the task manager, a new process from the CMD is loaded. This is because it's attempting to run the batch file studio.bat.

I've attempted to open the idea properties file to see if there was something I could configure for this ANDROID_STUDIO_JDK or something like that. However, I found nothing. I hope some of you can let me know if you were able to install this or if you are having problems as well.

Go to your Android Studio installation folder and locate the bin folder. Inside the bin folder, you will find studio.bat. Execute the file, and it'll show the error. If it is about the Java path then follow the tip 1.

This error probably occurs, because you have reference to your older SDK (that you downloaded with Eclipse) in your path variable. Go to Environment variables and remove any reference to the old SDK folder and point it to new SDK folder that is found inside the Android Studio installation folder.

*C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_25\ depends entirely on the installation path of your JDK not JRE so don't be confused if you see something like the picture below. Just enter the location of your jdk, in my case it is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_25\.

there I saw 2 exe files studio.exe and studio64.exe. Normally my start menu was pointing to studio64.exe which always kept on giving me "The environmental variable JDK_HOME does not point to valid JVM". So then I clicked studio.exe and it worked :)

I got the problem that the installation stopped by the "$(^name) has stopped working" error. I have installed the Java SE Development kit already, and also set both SDK_HOME and JAVA_HOME that point to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21"

I somewhat assumed that the issue was caused by having the x64 version of the JDK installed. But what was especially confusing was the fact that I could start Android Studio just fine when I started the studio.bat as an Administrator (even though the environment variables were set for my personal user account).

For me the problem was when I first installed Android Studio my JDK version was 1.7, then after installing I updated the JDK to 1.8, then I removed the old JDK folder and everything was messed up, even uninstalling and reinstalling android studio randomly didn't solve the issue.

Even though I should know better and swear I did, make sure you restart studio after making these changes as it clearly does not check them on every build (which to me makes sense that system/user variables should only be read once on startup)

In my experience, I was unable (even after adding JDK_HOME) to launch Studio via either the shortcut or studio.exe itself. I had to first run bin/studio.bat (mentioned in the original question).After the first successful launch, I'm able to start it with the shortcut.

if you have jdk installed and had set up the System Varibles such as JAVA_HOME or JDK_HOMEand tried click back and then next ,you might have installed the 64bit JDK,just download the 32bit jdk and install it.

To complete this stack of possible solutions: For me the problem was, that I did not execute the Android-Studio-Setup as administrator. Running it as administrator then made me able to install Android-Studio.

For me, the problem was that I had changed the GC vm arg to -XX:+UseParallelGC in the C:\Users\\.AndroidStudio2.1\studio64.exe.vmoptions file. That's what I use in Eclipse and I was trying various things to get AndroidStudio half way as efficent as Eclipse. I restored the GC to -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC.

The answer to the original question is that, might be you are opening android studio from 32 bit shortcut icon of android studio, try to open from icon "studio64" located under .../bin/ where android studio setup is install.

I started following the Android track after I installed the tools. After the FunFacts segment, I found it difficult to keep up using different tools, so I decided to install the suggested version. Hilarity ensued. Now I have a mess! I've unintalled SDK and AS, and reinstalling the suggested AS keeps giving me errors that I don't have the 2.2.1 platform installed, and I'm stuck.
