Texmaker version 1.8 has been installed on the 32 bit linux boxes.
The documentation is at http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/doc.html

/lusr/gnu/bin/grep has been upgraded to version 2.5.4 on all our
platforms.

R has been upgrade to version 2.9.2 on the linux platforms.

emacs-23.1 has been installed on all our platforms. I didn't make it
the default, so you'll need to type emacs-23.1 at the command line to
start it. If everyone likes the new version, I can make it the default.

git has been upgraded to 1.6.4.1 on all our platforms.

bochs verion 2.2.6 with MIT patches has been installed on the 32 bit
linux machines.
