Should group access be restricted?

Currently, anyone can view this group, request to join and anyone who
has ever been added is able to access the files, post discussions,
etc.

Do we want to restrict access to those who pay dues? Should alumni be
allowed perpetual access?

Does anyone have an opinion? What other incentives might members have
to pay dues?

Just an open discussion about group management.
