Also, there are four hardware revs of the A104D card, with different
chipsets and firmware versions for each, and all requiring a different
minimum driver version. Anything manufactured after Oct 2006 uses the
shark chipset and different firmware, but shows up in the hwprobe as the
same card. Fun.

the A104 parts and read them.

Basically, you need to check the SKU numbers as listed in the matrix to
tell which rev and which firmware to have. I happen to be running an
A104D card that is older than Oct 2006, which uses firmware v26 as the
latest and runs quite well.
