The Utah Cyber Association has spent the last 4-5 years helping to found the Salt Lake CISO Forum (SL|CISO) and now is looking to start the next great project!

I'm looking for one or two people (for now) to help found the Utah Cyber Invitational, a cyber competition that will - when fully operational - involve 4 distinct but co-located competitions for middle school, high school, college, and professionals.  The idea is that it will be a ton of fun, plus be a great place for people to observe each other's competitions, for professional networking, and for college and job recruiters to look for prospects.  Teams would be invited based on their standing in other existing  competitions (TBD, input welcome).  MVP will likely just be two groups, high school and college, probably leveraging Cyber Patriot and CCDC as the underlying competitions we use as selection criteria.  However, the co-founder(s) will be able to help determine these selections.

This initial request is just for one or two people to co-found and help organize the event, further volunteers will be requested later as we look to actually get it started.  Selected co-founder(s) will join the board of the Utah Cyber Association until the Utah Cyber Invitational is mature enough to become its own non-profit, at which point - if they choose to continue - they would move to the board of the new organization.  Joining the board of either organization will require you to give me your address and SSN so I can add you to the business registration.

I expect this to take maybe 5-10 hours a week for the near future.  Let me know if you're interested!
