Dear Group Members:

I hope you are having a pleasant, pain-free summer!

I have had a couple of questions relating to physicians
(pulmonologists and rheumatologists) we would recommend as physicians
in the treatment of sarcoid.

I see Dr. Tracy Frech at the University of Utah and LOVE her!!!! She
told me that there is a new pulmonologist starting at the U sometime
this summer. She will be participating in a sarcoid clinic with Dr.
Frech. I will contact Dr. Frech and see if I can get more information
regarding this.

If you have a great doctor and would like to share this info with the
group, please do!

I believe the U of U hospital clinic is becoming the best group of sarc doctors in the State. I see dr. Mary Beth Scholand at the pulmonary clinic and love her. All of the doctors up there in all departments work together as a team and I feel in good hands. The Moran eye center also has a retinologist that specializes in sarc as well. Hope this helps.

I see Dr. Frech (rheumatology at the University of Utah) and I also love her. I highly recommend her.

I have an appt. with Dr. Kungel at the U in August, does anyone know anything about this Dr.

Dr. Kunkel is a physician in the rheumatology clinic. I have NO personal experience with him, but have heard good things. (I work at the hospital) He is fairly young, but I have heard nice. And with sarcoid, NICE goes a long way. Good luck. You can google the University of Utah physicians site and review his training. He is board certified and probably great.
